Singapore: A handy place to do a visa run

Arriving in Singapore this evening I passed my paperwork on to my agent, who was recommnended to me by Arjuna Immigration Consultants. Reading other Singapore websites I see that visa processing can take 2-3 days and the only sure way to avoid hassle is to use the agent.

I will pick up my passport around 3pm on Tuesday and be back on the plane to Bali at 6.30pm.

The Indonesian Consulate is located in a very nice neighborhood downtown, complete with grassy sidewalks and tall trees. The contact info is:

7 Chatsworth Rd. Ph. 6737 7422, Fax 6737 5037.

Singapore used to have its own strict dress code for visitors, no long hair, no untidy clothing etc. I think things have lightened up, but anytime you visit a Consulate or Embassy you have to look like 'smart-boy'. When I visited the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok the guy demanded to see my onward ticket from Bali, which I did not have. Using an agent I have no contact with officials and so no pesky questions.

Same coming back into Bali. A 'little something' at the immigration desk can help smooth things along, its normal for people who live here.

Just a quick question, do long haired male visitors still have to cut their hair short to enter Singapore? Thank you for your time!

Nick,
You seem to have figured out the best way to handle visas. If I come to Bali on a business visa do I need to pay one million RP every time I fly out of the airport? Do I still need to leave every 60 days or do I get one year or 18 months normally?
Thanks

@Dietert

it is depend on your business Visa, if you applied for a 6 month one, you get 60 days first, plus you can extend it 4 more times without leaving Indonesia.

With a “multiple” business visa, you just have to fly out and come straight back in, Kuala Lumpar is the cheapest way to do that, with airasia for example…

On a business Visa you don’t have to pay the 1mill Rupiah fiscal tax, it is only for Indonesian citizen, kita’s holder and or retirement visa holder.

cheers
