My brother Chris is out here in Bali for 2 weeks and I am doing my best to give him a tour of the good things going on here. In some respects Bali is the ideal destination because it has good weather, good food, friendly people, plenty of nightlife, beaches, culture, day trips and is easy to get around. For me to show him cool stuff will be easy, I just have to take the initiative and do it.
How should you approach a 2-week trip in Bali in my opinion? Well I reckon after flying more than a thousand miles most people are looking for a bit of R&R. Get up late, take a stroll on the beach, go to breakfast, then head for the beach or the pool. Down the end of Jl. Dhyana Pura, Puri Cendana hotel has a small swimming pool, which is handy for me, as they serve food and drinks. The shopping in Seminyak is definitely more upscale than Kuta, here you have western boutiques and proper art shops, instead of just handicrafts. I don't suppose Chris will be doing too much shopping but it’s what some people are after.
