Sexy dancing at the Kuta Karnival Bali

Sunday evening Ika and I went down to Kuta Beach to check out the Kuta Karnival. The festival takes a while to get fully into gear and the food court area won't be going till next Saturday. This evening we saw some guys doing a skateboard display and a beach soccer tournament. We moved down the beach past the many tall flags to a stage that was featuring a body building contest. I don't usually spend too much time checking out sweaty guys in their underwear but some people like it. Our main reason for going was a friend of Ika's named Komang who works in the same gym as her was scheduled to do 'sexy dancing'. I had never seen Komang dance at all and couldn't imagine her doing regular dancing, never mind sexy.

We waited patiently through round after round of Balinese guys getting judged for their stretching and flexing. I was planning to join them but that 6 pack I drank the other night ruined my flex.

Eventually up came Komang and 2 other female dancers. There are probably a few hundred people watching and not only was the dancing sexy, it was very well coordinated and executed. I was amazed and take my hat off to Komang, she was fantastic!
