This time of year there seems to be allergies and also a flu going around.
I have been sniffling for a few days and today felt like a dose of the flu had started to creep in. Amazing that you can still get these things in blazing sunshine and warm weather. I think sitting in Internet Outpost’s ‘windtunnel’ for hours probably doesn’t help.
I dosed myself with vitamin C and this evening had a soto ayam ( chicken soup) and nasi putih (white rice) for dinner, cost 5,000rp.
Man that soto ayam is good and mine came loaded with cabbage, tomato, chicken parts and boiled egg. They usually puit ‘mie’ noodles in too but I am not crazy about them so asked to go without.
It was a beautiful day to be in Bali today even if I didn’t do that much. Temperatures are cooling off and the surfing season is arriving with consistently good surf on the Bukit. Here’s our 10 day weather forecast.
My hotel article on ther first hotel in Nusa Dua, Hotel Buanu is up for anyone interested. I can imagine staying there in the early 80’s was an adventure.
Last night Ebong sms’d me asking if I wanted to watch Germany play Holland in the Euro 2004 soccer championships. Two places in particular, Mama’s German restaurant in Kuta and Dutch hang out Woodstock on Jl. Oberoi in Seminyak were showing the game from 1am-3am. I was already feeling under the weather and who can stay out till 3am drinking on a week night? The score for those interested was 1-1. Since bars stay open here very late finding a place with a screen isn’t difficult.

Any way looking for the some tips on the best place to watch the England Game tonight without having to travel into Kuta, any ideas anybody? Large screen and few other Europeans fo company would be great!!
Cheers

G’Day Nick,
Checked out the write-up on the hotel Buana and like the format you presented. For some reason that side of town never really appealed to me.
Anyway mate, saya harap kau sembuh cepat (I hope you get better soon).
