The 2002 and 200 bombings in Bali have brought up concerns about security in Bali. At one time security wasn’t an issue, Bali being a Hindu enclave in a Muslim country.
Since Muslim extremists find it necessary to blow up Australians, to get back at Americans for supporting Israeli’s who mistreat Palestinians, we will have to think about security. There is a visible security presence in Bali, but as this message response asks, does it actually ad up to better security?

Yes i feel safe. I just returned from a holiday there and to be totally honest i feel safer in Bali then what i do here in Newcastle/NSW/Australia
Yes security in Bali is as safe as anywhere else that open’s itself up to visitors from all over the world. i would howevere feel more comfortable if the Banjar took the lead role in providing security. As most foreigners here we are accustomed to being stopped by Polisi for Tipsy, which dilutes their credibility a great deal. With all the threats of Kidnapping’s I am more scared of beeen traded rather than being protected. as long as foreigners are seen as a source of income for group’s legal or illegal then we must be alert.
