East Bali is a wonderful part of the island, fertile, traditional and largely undeveloped. Just get your own transportation and explore, is my advice to people coming out here. Most people either do not do that, or stuck to main roads and end up in Candi Dasa. Oh well its up to you, but for the Bali Tour in October I will be taking people to places that do not see tourists, or at least very few. Pictured here is the traditional accommodation my group will be sharing, complete with fresh air, pigs, a bucket of cold water and mud floor. I'm kidding of course, no you have to get your on bucket of water. If you come on the tour you will get to see where this hut is and meet the people who live in it. Views around here are spectacular and the English language is not understood.
Pretty exciting eh, especially on a tourist island complete with Planet Hollywood and Starbucks. It's a different world out in the provinces and the Bali Tour will be a little window into that world.
