Schapelle Corby appeal: Hotman on the draw

Corby's appeal really is a drama that won't quit. Heading for part III, two of the main players, super lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea met with Australian Minister of Justice, Chris Ellison yesterday. Their get together in a Jakarta hotel was always going to dramatic considering the scathing attacks Hotman has laid on the Australian government.

The meeting catapulted itself into the media from the first moment when Hotman and body guards tried to bring guns into the meeting. What all this has to do with a law case is beyond me but strange things happen. Hopefully a compromise can be reached allowing Corby to work as pembantu for the Bali Nine to pay for her beauty treatments.

Life in Kerobokan jail should be more bearable now it's the dry season. Last night in Kuta it was actually cool around 10pm.

TO hell with bali and Indonisia. You wants to go to a country where drug possession, espeially marijuana or hashish carries a death penalty. I am not condoning drug use. i find Shapelle Corbys situation pitiful; According to what I heard on US news Shapelle told airport officials when asked that some boggie board possessions were hers. Why would anyone be so idiotic to tell off on themselves by admitting that some possessions carrying drugs were theirs? This should have told Bali officials that this girl was innocent and did not do this. Th drugs were obviously planted. if Shapelle is not freed everyone needs to boycott Indonesia and bali vacation travel. I sure wont ever travel there, or buy Indonesian products after this.I am not condemning all Indonesian people by any means. However, what a unjust screwed up government this is. -Virginia-USA

Has it not occured to anyone that the airport police at Jakarta airfield may have planted the marijuana into Schapelle’s boogie board bag? Of course, this could never be proven to any Indonesian court since the testimony of police & security officers is blindly accepted without cross-examination allowed by the defense. In other words, not only is their sytem of justice entirely politicized and corrupt, but even if it were not, the “Tribunal system” only allows for judges to form an opinion of guilt or innocence and the truth can never be known.
By the way, why would anyone travel to Bali when you know that you have no legal protections as guaranteed by the constitution of America or Australia? Daniel - Fort Lauderdale, Florida

You know, Bali was a great place back in the early nineties. I have found memories of getting trashed, screwing Japanese girls (I love em’) and getting that mushroom shake at Midnight Oil.

My question is. Why are the Australians ruining this place for all????? Stop bringing drugs into the place! Let the locals do the dirty work. Nothing makes them happier than putting a whitey in jail.

I can honestly say, the surf is great and the Balinese are fine but the Aussies and the Brits have fucked this place up.

You all know Indonesia is ruled by the Koran. Stop screwing with it ! They don’t give a rat’s ass about lawyers, money and famous people. That is only in your own country.

Corby SHapelle is completely guilty. Read the trail scripts carefully. She is lucky to not get the death penalty. Now this new vixen model tried to scream the same alibi as Corby, stating “ Ohhh that’s not my drugs.”

You know people, this only works in a liberal place like the UK, US and Australia. (Where everyone is right)

This is the real world my friends. It is called the respect of the law of the land. Try it . You’ll actually live longer.

Stop sending your money to these bimbos and help your neighbor hood homeless people.
