Convicted Bali Bomber, Imam Samudra will not be asking the Indonesian government for clemency. After running out of options, clemency is his last chance, but the self styled Islamic scholar has told relatives, his death will lead him to martyrdom.

Samudra was doing time in Kerobokan jail along with Amrozi and Mukhlas, before being moved to a jail near Jakarta. He showed no sign of remorse and was even mocking in his references to the victim’s relatives. I don’t think there are too many people in Bali who will protest his passing.
