Tuesday afternoon I met up with Palu and his lovely wife Wiwin at their surfboard rental shop on Poppies Lane II in Kuta. I ran over to Circle K to get some cold ones. Palu from Byron Bay Australia has recently built a 3-storey house in Dreamland on the Bukit. According to him his 2 ara (20 sq meters) cost 65m rp. You can buy land, build a house a house and furnish it for about US$70,000, which is okay if that is your plan.
Since becoming a dad I have pretty much been only 2 places, my bedroom and Blue Ocean in Legian. I must really make an effort to get out and do stuff because a lot is happening in Bali and I just don’t know about it.
While talking about stuff Ray joined us. The crafty bugger has gone and married Wayan without telling anyone! I don't blame him, she is a lovely lady, but Ray has been dressed up like a Christmas present and nobody was there to document it. Anyway we are going to Rumours on Wednesday night so I'll prompt Wayan for the details. We want to see a photo of Ray in his wedding gear!

I think Dalton also spent about $70-80K to build his house up in the hills. Seems to be the going rate right now for house construction in Bali. Certainly not cheap. I wonder what the prices in Sumbawa?
