Quiet Sunday in Seminyak Bali

Saturday night was a a good time for me. I went down to Stadium Cafe on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Kuta and watched Man U lose 3-1 to Fulham.

All the good-time fans support this team and its great to see them take one at home from a smaller team.

I chatted with some of the people I went to Besakih temple with months ago, good vibes all round.

This morning I went to Cake Moka in Seminyak and took my time reading the world news. Seems like not everyone is pleased the US is in Iraq, even members of the government. Who would of thought that?

I typed up a hotel report that was overdue and paid a visit to Global Xtreme in Kerobokan, an area that is developing fast. If you need internet access this is the place!

Back at the house I was drying my Dry Fit shirts. These things are great, light as a feather. I drink coffee in the mornings and also like a cup of tea sometimes. My coffee maker doubles as a tea maker too.

Here at Internet Outpost in Kuta its 6pm and the place is fairly empty as all the touro’s are swilling beer and watching rugby. I wish they’d have a game every night.

The Indonesian tourist industry delivered a message to President Bush while he was here via the Jakarta Post encouraging him to reconsider the travel advisories currently in existance for Americans planning to visit Indonesia.

Maybe I’ll practice my Indonesian tonight when I get home, would be nice to talk to the locals in their language.

Hi Nick (^-^), where did you get that coffee and tea maker from?

I’ll be home early in December 2 month holiday from colege, will we catch up then? January will be a big month for Balinese, to good to be missed,Hindu’s big days celebrations and temple festivals will be on in lots of places especially in my hometown Tabanan.
I’ll get you to taste the real wild foods of balinese, by the way have you heard of “PanFried Dragon fly”?

G’Day Nick,

Being a lad born at the back of Old Trafford, I am STUNNED!. Happy though that MU got taken off their pedestal.

Gotta love that tea & coffee maker. But it does look a tad like a cistern!.

Pan-fried Dragonfly - Yummy!

My tea maker came with the house I rent. Its just a little thing but spews out hot water in all directions fairly quickly.

Never had PanFried Dragon fly but after a big bottle of tuak I might check out.
