President SBY uses video-conferencing to stay in touch with cabinet

President SBY is on official business in the US right now and has used video-conferencing to stay in touch with his cabinet in Jakarta. The other day he did one from St Louis Missouri and later this week he will move on to New York for a meeting at the UN.

Running the world's biggest archipelago with all the issues that are ongoing, I think SBY is smart and the technology will keep him in touch with his ministers. The price of the service was surprising to me, US$42,600. Indonesians love chatting online and you would of thought someone would of given the whole cabinet a free set of headphones for VOIP. Whatever, it still shows SBY is not a Megawati type of president who goes on trips just for the vacation, this guy intends to work!

The President will be meeting other heads of state at the United Nations World Summit and will be discussing the progress in Aceh.
