Bali is a photograph waiting to be taken some would say. I have to stop myself from pointing my camera at everything I see and actually live in ther moment. When I take a road trip to quieter parts of the island I see photo opportunites appearing around every corner.
For those who enjoy some company when they shoot and the chance to compare and talk about shots, there is an event in October that is perfect. The FN Hunting Series will take participants to various locations in Bali where they will have the chance to shoot and check out the results.
Starting from Friday, 21 October, to Sunday, 23 October 2005, the event will explore and record Bali from several perspectives: cultural, landscape and human interest. Looking at their schedule they will be busy. The makepung races in Negara are great and they rush straight from there to an odalan (temple birthday) celebration in Denpasar. I reckon the event will be fun and you could make some friends and learn a lot. The event is put on by members of the photographic community in Indonesia who are members of www.fotografer.net.
