I've spent the majority of the last two days in either in an aircraft or an airport and it's very nice to have all that behind me. Felt bad for Nick having to wait 4 hours at Denpasar airport since he didn’t know my flight (which got changed in Singapore anyway since Garuda no longer has direct flights from S’pore). Great to see a familiar face, dump my bags and crack open a cold Bintang.
On the plane I was feeling drowsy, but once we got back to the house, I woke up a little. Nick suggested going down the road for a beer, so we jumped on the bike and cruised down to the Santa Fe bar. Even though it was after midnight, things were just getting started. By chance we bumped into Josh Grillo. It’s always fun to finally meet people you’ve read about on the BaliBlog. I’m sure I’ll get to meet the infamous Barrie in the near future.
Having stopped over for about 12 hours in Bangkok on the way over, I think I’m pretty well adjusted to the time zone. I got a good night’s sleep there and another one last night, so I’ll not have to waste any precious time in Bali sleeping during the day (unless I want to).
Nick and I chowed down on breakfast at KuDeTa restaurant this morning and watched some good sized waves crash into the beach. I asked Nick if anyone actually goes swimming and he said that certain places on the south coast are dangerous with rips and undercurrents. If you go swimming out there, you have to be careful not to get swept out to Lombok. Duly noted.

Thanks, Tracey. I was following Nick around today watching those pant legs billow around his arms. I’ll dig up a long sleeve shirt first, I think.
Thought I’d be the first to reply to your first e-mail Chris!!!!
How are ya?
Have fun & remember those legs of Nick’s short’s or longs (depends if they are ob his arms, or legs!)
Steal them for yourself, he should be used to it by now!!!!
