Walking down Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak this morning I took a short walk on the beach and checked out the surf that seemed to be quite large but it was a tad windy. Jl. Dhyana Pura is the party street in Seminyak and the first 200 meters in from Jl. Seminyak is mostly bars and restaurants. After that you have an assortment of internet cafes and restaurants, including the Seminyak version of Warung 96, complete with Seminyak prices. This street always seems like its sleeping off a hangover during the day and then jumps back to life at night. At the end of the street is the beach and Gado Gado restaurant.
Today we had some storm swell which created some big ugly waves that were not much good to surfers. I always like watching the street life too, people cleaning in front of their shop, taxi drivers looking for their first fare and parents taking care of their kids.
