Michelle Leslie sentencing a bit suspect in Denpasar Bali

Most people following the Michelle Leslie trial were probably relieved when she was sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. With time already served she went free.

Unfortunately not everyone was as excited, including the Bali Nine, who’s trial may be delayed, due to an investigation of the Leslie judges, who are also their judges.

Sentencing in Indonesia is all over the place I my judgement. 20 years for marijuana, 3 years for conspiracy to murder. You tell me, where do the come up with this? However the 3 months handed to Michelle Leslie has some people wondering if a ’sweetener’ was added to the pot before cooking. Too late to ask Michelle, she’s back in her lingerie. The 3 Bali judges however have been called to the Judicial Commission in Jakarta next friday.

I met an Australian lady recently who visits Renae Lawrence in Kerobokan jail. I’ll try to get over to the court house one of these days, or maybe get an interview at the jail.

Let’s hope they make the judicial system transparent and accountable. Without that happening the rot of corruption in the police and bureaucracy will continue.
