My house has been people central lately with Jay, Debbie and Sienna staying with us. Add you that Ika and Jevon. Catching up with old friends is great and very time consuming. Today Jay, Ika, Sienna, Jevon and I went to Cafe Moka in Seminyak for breakfast and it was a different experience. Last time Jay and I met neither of us had kids, now they tend to dominate. The staff at Cafe Moka were super keen to hold both kids and that gave us a chance to butter the bread. Jay is a lover of good movies and wanted to pick some pirated DVD's. We went down to Kuta and shopped at the place next to Circle K opposite Pub Bagus on Poppies II. Jay picked out some Euro movies, classic American stuff, comedies and some music films.
He was delighted as for 10,000rp he could get movies that would cost A$30. Jay is a musician and plays gigs as well as promoting in Southern QLD. Musicians are in a world of their own and schedules go out the window. He loves going with someone's energy and will follow a stranger's invitation if he gets a good vibe. Great attitude for adventure no doubt.
I will be detailing some of the talks I had with Jay about Bali soon and this evening they left my house by taxi for their 1am flight home to Australia. Right after they left I scurried to the internet café on Jl. Dhyana Pura, only to find it was full with 3 people waiting for terminals, at 11.45pm! Who says Bali is quiet? In my neighborhood it's busy as hell is certain places.
