Meeting Terry in Seminyak Bali
After my swing by the odalan ceremony at Jl. Dhyana Pura I rode down to Bintang to meet up with Terry who had called. Terry and I got a coffee at the road place called Cafè Seminyak (Bali kopi, latte, choclatine, 25,000rp). Terry is 38 year old Melbourne local and has been to Bali to Bali many times. He told me he reads the blog a lot, though never comments. He gave me valuable feedback as to what people were saying about some of the stuff I had written including the fact that some people miss the amount of photos I used to take and that the Schapelle Corby coverage was a deviating from what we are really about. I like constructive criticism and will take note of Terry's comments. We rode the 200 meters to the house and I introduced Terry to Ika. After sipping a couple of Storm Brewing beers we were both pretty relaxed. Terry was giving me info on the places he has stayed including the Bali Dynasty hotel in Tuban that has a new gym. I might give that place a try out.
Terry can speak pretty good Bahasa after taking a language and I think that might be a good idea for me at some point. He was saying he might like to move over here for part of the year and was offering some experience about places to rent and pembantus. Hey if he does I will have another drinking buddy so I'm all for it.
