Meeting Steve and Lara in Legian Bali
This afternoon Ika Jevon and I went down to Jl. Double Six to Lanai, formerly Benny's, on Blue Ocean beach to meet Steve and Lara from Perth Australia.
Steve in a gold miner in the red center of Western Australia, digging with his bare hands in the dirt among kangaroos, dingoes and termites for the the yellow metal. Temperatures out there get so hot a mortal can go half crazy, but Steve has managed to stay in control and make it to Bali with his lovely companion Lara (go Eagles).
We met at Lanai with a coulpe of Steve's relatives and had a good old time talking and catching up. Lanai has a great upper deck that gives a view of Blue Ocean Beach. Steve commented that in the afternoon Blue ocean Beach is a very interantional scene, and I commented that it is indeed quite the scene, many different characters colliding here.
Jevon got to meet some new people and after his bottle decided to fall asleep. Ika and Jevon went home while the rest of us went to Trattoria on Jl. Oberoi. Lara said that in Australia the news is full of the terrorism news and that her relatives were saying she should not come. I think we all agreed that being here does not fel that dangerous. We will all meet up at the bbq on sunday which will be a great time.
