Wednesday afternoon I met Diane from Sunnyvale California at La Cabana in Kuta. Diane has retired from Hewlett Packard and has all the time in the world to travel and decide what she wants to do. We chatted about Bali and the interesting culture, changing times and economy. Diane is planning to travel to Bromo and Yogyakarta in Java, then on to Jakarta. While we were getting acquainted a familiar face popped up, Yani from Kalimantan.
Yani is a promo staff at La Cabana, and treated Diane and I to her life story, including how she came to Bali and
what she thinks of the bar scene. Might see Diane again before she leaves and wish her the best for the rest of her Indoensia trip.
