Meeting business dudes in Kuta Bali

This morning I awoke around 6.30am to find Sean had already left for a walk.

Maybe I’ll make tomorrow’s, who knows. We rode downtown and headed for Taman Sari restaurant on Poppies II in Kuta, the work place of Putra, Putu and Iluh, our friends from way back. Surprisingly at 8 am Taman Sari wasn’t open so we rode down Jl Legian and around the bend to Bali Bakery which was open. We both ordered a ‘eggs and bacon’ type deal for around 15,000rp.

We want to offer our readers he best of what Bali has and that means getting together with quality businesses and organising things. Some times our meeting go the way we want them to, other times not exactly the way we want them to, other times they just don’t happen. We had a mixture today. I can’t divulge details but here in Bali you have to exercise patience, timeliness and actually showing up are not always things you can count on other people for.

The end of our day was fun. We shared big Bintang at Benny’s on Blue Ocean beach in Legian, met Mick and friends at Ku De Ta for a drink and then took Frida to dinner at Gado Gado. I’ll let Sean fill in the details.

Can’t wait to learn the secrets of your business deals. By the way, Nick, you do a great job combining the sublime with the mundane. It’s easy to get caught up in the beauty of a place, but in some cases, more useful to know what to budget for breakfast and beer (not necessarily in the same meal…).
