The Balinese have a long reputation as crafts people and their goods are on display all over town.
I passed this leather goods store on Poppies II in Kuta and snapped some of their items on display.
Men’s and women’s leather jackets were on sale at prices ranging from between 500,000rp ($57) -550,000rp ($63). Remember that’s the asking price, negotiate a little and you might walk out with a bargain.
Like a new belt?
This leather bag was going at 125,000rp ($14).
If you’re in Kuta and are interested this shop is called Jalo, though there are plenty of others. I told the owner Jeffrey ( a local ) that I was showing these jackets to friends overseas.
Weather today is outstanding and there has been some good surf too. As I spoke with Sean in Oregon at around 7am today I was standing in front of Ku De Ta restaurant at the beach and the waves were huge.
This old guy was busy burying himself 10 yards away.

I’m on my way to Bali soon and would love some advice. I am in New Zealand now. Where in the north is a fabulous place to stay with good beaches?
