Latest Indonesian government plans for tsunami reconstruction

The tsunami back in December caused unbelievable damage to infrastructure in the Aceh region of Sumatra, not forgetting the massive human toll.

Indonesia is a country that has huge challenges at the best of times, including logistics (an archipelago of 17,000 islands), poverty, cultural, geographical, tribal, religious and linguistic problems, not to mention rampant corruption.

Fixing the probelms in Aceh is not going to be easy, but at least cashflow will not be a problem (the Australian government has pledged $1AU billion. Where it is going to flow to is the question.

Here are the latest plans for reconstruction of the area.

Please be aware of our anger and disgust over the treatment of Schapelle Corby.
We have shown nothing but friendship to indonesia but they treat us with contempt. Enough!
