Kerobokan jail Bali

Coming back from Warung Gossip I passed the Kerobokan jail. If you’ve missed it, the jail is the big white building with guard towers. Around 1.30pm on Saturday the place was fairly quiet. They have a morning and afternoon session for visiting. Getting in will cost you 20,000rp. You are allowed to bring food and drinks. Actually taking a packet of Warung Gossip food wouldn’t be a bad idea. Maybe I’ll do that sometime.

On the corner of Jl. Raya Kerobokan at the traffic lights, you take a right turn and you’ll pass the jail, if you are coming from Kuta. On that corner there is a fruit market, ideal for a grabbing a small bag to give to a prisoner.

You comment is factually incorrect. It costs 5000rp to get into the jail and a further 5000 rp at the inside desk. However, if you offer 20,000rp the guards will happily accept.
