Jevon went to the doctor’s today for another immunisasi. Its a once a month deal and he’s very good about it. We ride the motorbike after getting thoroughly dissheartened with the taxis. They take a route though town which takes longer than the more simple way I go. They always pull the ‘no change’ BS too and its actually less stress for me to drive.
Puri Bunda is located on Jl. Gatut Subroto #6 in Denpasar. We called ahead and got #4 in line. Its funny because here in Bali its bragging rights who’s got the biggest baby. Parents with fat babies always ask ‘How old is your baby?’ When you tell them, they proudly respond their kid is 2 months younger a a kilo heavier. THe Chinese are the worst, stuffing their kids from birth. Ika was the one who told me that and its true. Jevon is a healthy 9kg at almost 9 months, he’s also 75 cm (half Ika’s height).

Back at work–spend half the day immunising baby’s—belirve me not much fun from either side of the needle.Ah well better than the alterative–i.e the diseases non immed babys get.
Had a bub on monday who had imms in Indonesia up to 1yr old then came to Aus so we had to blend the two schedules together as in Indo and Aus–luckily we got a girl from East java to interpret the imm record otherwise Nick may have had a SOS e-mail!
Cheers laurs
Hey Nick…. Indah is 7.7kg & 6 months old!!!
Hee hee hee
That reminds me of what happened last week. My little sister just had a baby in Auckland two weeks ago. As the witness of the delivery and the bearer of the good news in Jakarta, I was often asked by my uncles and aunties, “Oh, how big is the baby, how much did it weight?”. I don’t understand all the hoopla. It’s as if they want to take any credit if the baby was heavy enough or long enough when born.
