Iranian President comes to Indonesia
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is arriving in Jakarta tonight. His 6 day visit will include a meeting with Indonesian President SBY, to discuss nuclear power, atom bombs and all that good stuff. Indonesia supports Iran’s quest for nuclear power, but is against weapons proliferation. Once again SBY’s position, as an educated moderate Muslim and leader of the world’s most populous Muslim country, gives him an angle, that others don’t have.
I for one wonder what the in-flight entertainment was like on Iran Airways. President Ahmadinejad is going to have some time to kill, with 6 days on his hands. I’d like to suggest he pick up a copy of The Beat Mag, and check out his options. Arriving tonight, he might give SBY a high-5, then catch a cab over to Baby Face at Jl. MH Thamrin no. 9, for a cocktail. When hunger pains start to call, the Pres and his team should take advantage of the romantic French style, at Brasserie, located at Jl. Kemang raya no. 2 Jakarta Selata, (plenty of single ladies on Tuesdays!). Heading into the serious party zone, a trip to Stadium could see the gang get just what they’re looking for…flashing lights, cocktails and fun.
Its obvious looking at the guy, that politics in Iran is no fun. If time permits, a trip to Bali and a surf lesson at Bali Learn to Surf could mean a new beginning.

As an American I resent that.
Where was Iran when the tidal wave came? Where was America? Doing the same thing like when Iran had an Earthquake…helping out!
I disagree with tBush 99% of the time but I agree with the Prez that Iran should not have Nuclear weapons until they allow Israel to exist. You can’t say in one breath that your going to blow a nation off the map and then say our nuclear research is for peaceful purposes. Who are they trying to kid. And I hope that SBY tell the Iranian goon just that. That they are fooling noone.
There was a report here today that SBY had offered to participate in talks between the US and Iran over the nuclear issue. I actually think that is a pretty good idea.
Within weeks of close engagement with the Iranians, the Indonesians would become so fed up with the modern Iranian blend of apocalypticism and petty chiseling that the Iranian regime’s reputation outside the Persian Gulf might never recover.
The ” Evil Amerikan empire ” is just that.
A country with sucsessive administrations spanning decades whose foreign policies are hell bent on molding the rest of the world into the image that they desire for thier own purposes.

If they would just return the land they stole during the 67 conflict this would go a long way to resolving many many issues.
As for Nuclear Weapons.. Isreal is the only country in the world that has nuclear weapons and wont disclose the fact.. aided and abetted by the Americans somewhat of a double standard.
America says its promoting democracy in the region but when the Palestinian people elected Hamas in a free and fair election .. Amerika screamed foul because it doesnt suit them.
As an American you can resent what you like but you will see in the not too distant future the decaying great American dream finally dissolves into disrepute. America is already the laughing stock of the intelligent world.
Iran sent 221 tonnes of relief supplies consisting of medicine, tents, blankets, clothes and foodstuff to Indonesia as well as donating USD 675,000 through the Red Crescent.
