Internet non - access in Bali

The rainy season is rearing its head again with overcast skies and showers on a daily basis. The weather is not the only thing that has gone sour.

Internet connectivity, never the greatest here has been unbelievably bad today. I have been trying to upload an article at 3 different internet cafes starting at 10 am today. Its 8pm and I am still trying.

Expect long waits if you spend time online.

Hello Nick,

do you remember me? you met me and my boyfriend jean-baptiste at I.O. at the beginning of august. we went around the island and had an amazing time. I left you a note at I.O. before we headed back home, i hope you got it.
I just read the article about the funeral, and all the time i was thinking: i wish i was still in bali… but no… as a matter of fact, i have now moved to Amsterdam and it is VERY rainy here, brrr. and JB is back in Australia by now.
I just wanted to thank you one more time for all the helpful tips you gave us. Please keep up the good work at baliblog, i still read it every day!
greetz,
marie

Marie,

Great to hear from you. I’m glad you enjoyed Bali. I did get your note at Internet Outpost.

At the moment Bali feels like rainy Amsterdam after our torrential downpour. Things seems to brighten up here quickly though and visitors can expect sunshine mixed in with the rain.

Hope you and JB return soon.

Aloha Nick,

I read recently on Balidiscovery.com that they just introduced wireless wi-fi access at the Ritz-Carlton Jimbaran Bay.

I don’t know how much they charge, but I do remember they were selling cigars for $60 USD when I worked there.

Still, if you ever feel like splurging and connecting at high speed, it may be worth a look.

By the way,

Great move by adding Google AdWords on your site.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so far.

Hope you’re getting lots of click-throughs.

Sean is the business genius here, I’m just the camera monkey.
