Having a hell of a time getting my article online today. I am on my third internet cafe. Connection speeds have been not good so far and I might have a corrupted disc.

Anyway I rode down to Internet Outpost and on thr the way bumped inoto Paul Callahan who is doing our surf report. He has been really sick and is getting over the flu. We cruised down a part of Legian and talked about the surf conditions.

This morning the temperatures were quite cool and right now its a beautiful sunny day. The weather conditions are perfect for those who like it sunny buit without the steamy conditions of the wet season.

Come on out and enjoy.

By the way I saw in the Jakarta Post that troops have moved in on the Aceh ( Ah-chay) rebels. Hope this whole affair doesn’t spiral out of control.

Here in Bali its super mellow and feels very safe.

Hi Nick,
My feelings exactly regarding the Aceh situation.
Hear on the midday news that the Judge has adjourned Amrozzi’s case until Thursday while they consider if there is enough evidence against Amrozzi to continue with the trial.
Knowing the Indo judicial system, anything bizarre can happen.

A traveller sitting next to me at Internet Outpost today told me he had just visited a friend in jail who was caught at his house with 500 grams of hashish. The possible sentence, 10 years in jail ( of course that is all subject to how much money he can get to the cops before he goes to jail ).

Its bizarre how things turn out and if Amrozi walks it will be a dark day for Indonesian justice seeing how he’s already told thwem exactly how he did it.

Nick,
I don’t even want to think about what would happen should Amrozzi et al take a walk.
Let’s just hope sensibility prevails and justice is served otherwise it will have an adverse affect on Bali. I think the people of Bali have suffered, and are suffering enough now as it is.
