Internet access in Bali a disaster right now

Internet access in Bali is not one if the island’s strong points and right now its even worse. My home access is a joke and the internet cafes in Seminyak are equal to that.

This is not so much advice as letting you know what to expect. On the whole internet access in Bali is expensive, unreliable and slow and that is a fact that remains constant.

Hi Nick,
I’m using StarOne (Indosat) for my connection, it’s better than dial-up, cheap (the cheapest one right now) and good enough to just checks your gmail, yahoo, and chat but OK …. do not compare with speedy or other broadband connection.

Hi Nick,

What kind of internet connection are you have?

I was using XL 3G broadband but suddenly from 14th Nov, I don’t have 3G signal at all (I’m living somewhere between kerobokan & canggu).
Last friday I visited XL center at sunset road and they said usual bull s**t.

I can recommend Blueline. Almost never down and very high speeds. Cost is not so bad if you consider how much I save on international phone calls by using Skype…
