Bali will host an International volleyball tournament in May. The LA Menthol Asia Beach Volleyball Tournament, will be going on from May 4th - 7th on Kuta Beach, and will feature players from 8 nations, including Indonesia. Gabriele Reece won’t be playing, but I’m sure there will be plenty of other ‘eye-candy’ out there.
China is a sending two men’s teams and one women’s team and they are serious players. The event is partly designed to attract tourists to Bali. Probably won’t work, but will provide something extra for those people already on holiday in Bali.
“We are proud that the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) trusts us to host such a prestigious event… Hopefully, this event will bring back tourists to the island and to other areas in Indonesia,” said Nyoman Sukesna, the secretary-general of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI). Come on Indo!

The point is… if a cigarette company wants to sponsor a sports event good on them.
At least the sports event will be held.
The reason smoking has been banned in western countries is because their governments support compulsory health care and it costs them a fortune.
