Indonesia has another 10,000 islands to name

Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago, has over 17,000 islands, 650 inhabited. Problem is many of the other don’t have names and that makes things difficult when international boundaries come into play.

The UN has asked Indonesia to get on with it and start naming the rest. It could be a fun job for somone. You could name an ilsand after your mother, father, girlfriend, favourite soccer team. Imagine going to Palau Liverpool, or Palau Jennifer Lopez.

For adventurers, Indonesia offers unlimited opportunity. All you need to do is fiugre out your transport and steer clear of pirates.

How about auctioning off the rights to name these islands? Who knows they can make several thousands bucks for each island depending on the size. 10 thousands islands can bring in 10 millions bucks or more.
