Indonesia faces many challenges as we head deeper into to the 21st Century. Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, Yutaka Limura is retiring from his post and offered some advice to Indonesia.

Resource extraction will no doubt play a huge part in Indonesia’s future. With abundant fisheries, forests, minerals, oil, Indonesia can leverage its assets and buy a ticket to thr future. That is of course if things go without hitch. In ther real world the very resources that can secure a future, often get ripped off by a rogues gallery of officials and locals.

After living in Indonesia for 3 years and 7 months, Mr Limura offered an overview of how things run here and stated that Indonesia must ‘adjust to globalization or get left behind’.
