I am excited to watch the Olympics here in Bali

It happens once every 4 years. The best athletes in the world all converge for the ultimate contest, people watch on TV around the world for a glimpse of the excitement.

Not in Indonesia though.

I didn’t see any of Euro 2004 so its not a big deal to me. Would be nice for the kids though.

Hi Nick,

I sent you two messages regarding a hotel information last week (first one on Monday). As I sent the first one to you I had to sent an email back, after which I got a confirmation. Now I’m not sure if you got my emails, because you didn’t answer. We’re in a little hurry. So please let me know about it.

Thanks & Regards

Adriana

Adriana,

The American breakfast at the Bali Agung Village includes coffee / tea, juice, toast, butter & ,marmelade, paistries, eggs, pancakes, an Indonesian dish and fruit.

I hope you enjoy your stay there and get plenty to eat.

G’Day Nick,

There has to be a reson why the Indo govt doesn’t show the Olympics. After all, they are sending athletes aren’t they?.
Any sport event where sportsmen and women from all over the globe come together and compete peacefully and without prejudice certainly deserves an airing on the square box.

G’Day Mark,

Thanks mate. I was looking at the spicy crab foto Nick put up on the Blog and my stomach was grumbling considering I’m restricted to soft and bland foods for a couple of weeks.
Yeah, lookimg forward to seeing you in Bali mate. Email me with your arrival dates etc.

yeah barrie, good to see you back on board, though nicks been keeping us bang up-to-date with his usual top write-ups and excellent photos, your knowledge of indonesia and your witty comments have certainly been missed over the last few weeks. and now for something totally different, after brad smith being taken by 2 sharks here in margarets, have you ever heard of any shark attacks in bali or indo. hope you get back to 100% soon.

Scottycool…yeah that was bad what happened down at Margaret. I reckon the situation is only going to get worse with summer coming on here in Perth.

Getting to your question, I have never heard of any shark attacks in Bali in all the years I’ve been going there. The rest of Indo, well there have been some occasions where guys have been freaked out by over zealous dolphins at G-Land. But then again, that is a freaky place!. Apart from that, just the usual, curious reef sharks cruisin near surfers but they don’t take much when they latch on to you. Mind you, in a pack and with blood in the water, ya never know!.
