We let Jevon check out the stream a bit then headed back. On the way our Balinese friend said his name was Kadek, and was totally surprised when I offered him about 13,000rp, all the change I had on me. He actually told me it was okay. I insisted, he helped us and I could see he was a decent bloke. During the dry season this waterfall is still running but at a much lower rate. The hike is still nice and people are friendly.
Back down at the shop we enjoyed a cold drink and they asked for a small donation to help fix the bridge. They showed me a book that people had signed and supposedly given 100,000rp. I gave 10,000rp and they said thank you. All in all I enjoyed this visit and think NE Bali is now of the prettiest parts of Bali, especially when you make in roads from the coast.
