Sitting in an internet cafe here on Jl. Dhyana Pura I am getting ready to ride out to Karangasem to visit a guest house we are promoting.
My task is to ask questions, get answers and take plenty of photos. While out on the eastern part of the island I will also be visiting some points of interest which you’ll here about later. With my bag packed and wallet tucked away all I have to do is gas up, pump up the tires then it out to the Bypass for a 2-3 hour ride.
In the news today was an article about the Ministry of Tourism. The current government, or more specifically the Minister of Justice wants to do away with this office ( and presumably tourism as well) but Mega promises to keep it if re elected. That’s good news indeed. Megawati coalition seems to want to pull in all directions. The other day she was saying she would bring Suharto to trial if re elected…why not do it now?
