Gay Bali: Coming to your screens in the Fall (Autumn)

Bali offers many scenes and depending on your interests are you can find many activities. Surfing and scuba diving are 2 of the scenes here which while are both aquatic, attract completely different crowds.

One scene that I am aware of, but know nothing about is the gay scene. Bali has had a gay scene going back to the 1930's in some form or another. Many of the famous western artists who moved here were gay and found Bali's relaxed atmosphere conducive to creating.

In modern times and relentless stream of tourists come over looking for fun and romance, as witnessed by the prevalence of older guys with young toy boys and gay friendly venues.

A friend of mine, Dallas Finn, founder of Bali Peace Park will be investigating this fascinating aspect of Bali life and highlighting some of the venues, events and items of interest for gay travelers. Dallas is a knowledgeable and fun loving guy and will no doubt dig up some interesting stories and facts to keep us informed and entertained. He is currently back in Australia but we look forward to
hearing what hew has to say.

G’Day Nick,

Not my scene but a fabulous idea. Dallas will do a great job and I look forward to reading his write-ups on promoting the gay scene in Bali.

Whatta shame Barry boy… i thought as you did a good job on the Eating out venues you could adapt your skill to the eating out venues for the Gays. (hee hee) No Barrie not my scene either bro but as they say everyone to their own.

Perhaps now Nick is a father and hence would not get anyone gossiping is he or is he not, he could venture forth into the Gay Abiss of Bali and put his jounalistic skills to use. Eh whatya say Nicko mate eh…hee hee. Yes perhaps Dallas would be best suited to this after all lads eh?

Good weekend Lads

G’day Nick,

That’s cool!. I’m not of that persuasion, but yeah, I’ll tackle anything (excuse the pun!) when it comes to writing.

Of course I’ll have to have my own column. Perhaps ‘Chez Barrie’!.

Looking forward to his “interesting stories and facts ” on the gay scene in Bali, I do hope he doesnt share your opinion that a gay scene equates in neceesity or function to a surfing or scuba diving scene though !
Fail to see relevance of your repetitive reference to Older men and young boys after one visit to Baku Dapa when ascribing a piece to the gay scene in Bali.
Are you for real ?
