Frisbee game in Seminyak Bali

Riding towards downtown today I rode down Jalan Drupadi and passed a playing field where a large group of Yanks were indulging in a game of frisbee football. I saw some great chases and particularly remember one tackle between 2 ladies that made me wince.

There were 2 games going on simulataneously and the teams were subing players in and out, with the ‘outs’ taking shade from the sun.

It nice having this large playing area close ot the house, I’ve just got to get out here and use it.

Arriving downtown in Kuta I rode to Captain Haddock’s restaurant on Jalan Benesari. One of the waitresses, Putu let me interview her. Our friend Armadi used to work here and had a falling out with the owner. She now works at G-Land, the surfer restaurant / nightclub opposite Brasil.

Captain Haddocks features a range of foods from Bali, Thailand and France with the claim ‘as good as in Paris, guranteed.’

Putu was busy playing cards with her friends and co workers as business is slow right now.

Beautiful day with sunshine galore.

Nick,

That looks like a nice football (soccer) field. Does Bali have a football league or a team that is fairly competitive? Looking for a team to play with when I’m there.

Thanks,
Jin
