Foreign businesses in Indonesia sometimes have a hard time

Indonesia offers a great opportunity for foreign firms, particualry in resource extraction. Recently in the news have been stories of local protests, sometimes violent protests, from locals who do not like the presence of the foreign companies, or enjoy the interaction.

B. Herry-Priyono is a postgraduate lecturer at the Driyarkara School of Philosophy in Jakarta, and talks about the dynamic, of a big company setting up in Indonesia, and how it sometimes turns sour for all involved.
