Evening stroll on Jl. Oberoi in Seminyak

This evening I took a stroll up Jl. Seminyak around Jl. Oberoi and along the beach to Double Six. Man every time I walk around that neighborhood I see a new place that has opened. There are places that have been around for a while I haven't tried and new ones sprouting like weeds. A friend of mine pointed out a Japanese place across from Made's Warung in Seminyak that is supposed to be better than Ryoshi and quiet, next to it is sports bar that I haven't been to. I tell you the choices are abundant. Walking along Jl. Oberoi I passed Trattoria, the budget priced Italian place that is always packed out because they serve great food (40,000rp for a main course).

My brother is coming out in September and I want to take him to some new places. Maybe we'll do a pub crawl along Jl. Oberoi so I can actually test the fancier joints without spending much money.

Down on the beach the tide was out and the fog was a coming in a bit. Ku De Ta had a decent crowd and La Lucciola on Jl. Petitenget is another place that looks cool, though it was quiet tonight. I had dinner at Warung Murah for 11,000rp and it was delicious. Places like that make it hard for me to appreciate fancy places. If I can get a big plate of delicious food for just over $1, where’s the incentive to spend $20?

Walking around onto Jl. Legian and heading home I passed Ryoshi and saw a familiar face. It was Mercedes Corby talking on her cell phone. Maybe she was asking Schapelle what kind of sushi plate to bring her.

By the way when my brother comes out I want to arrange a cewek for him to take out. When my buddy Sean came out last time I had a shortlist of girls, who I had already asked out for him and got confirmation. Unfortunately he was too busy with work to take anyone up on it, but maybe Chris will find the time.

G’day Nick,

You could always get Chris to stroll down the end of your gang for some action! (He, he….!).

Yeah there are plenty of ‘rentals’ around. How would he know the ceweks from the benchongs though?

G’Day Nick,

Easy!. Grab a handful at the front. If you get a porker, then you just keep going till you find a rosebud.

Simple option is to check for the Adam’s Apple!

Those benchongs are tricky. They go for the optical illusion with te pencil skirt and little top, I’m sure they practice in front of the mirror.

I’ll make it easy for him, I’ll sort through some that I already know are female.

Hi Nick,

I found another good cheapie down Jl Oberoi, it’s on the bend, Warung Hujan. Funky little place with really tasty nasi campur selection and so cheap!!

Locals have started to figure out the formula for bule Indonesian warungs. On Jl. Dhyana Pura we have Warung Mimpi, Baku Dapa and closer to the beach Warung Kita and another new one.

On Jl. Drupadi off of Jl. Oberoi there are a couple of new ones and on Jl. Oberoi itslef there is another branch of Warung Murah. Cheap seems to work.
