East Timor coup attempt underway

According to East Timor’s prime minister, the security situation in the capital Dili, amounts to an attempted power grab.
Prime Minister Mari Alkatiri said the violence was “an attempt to stage a coup d’etat.”

Mobs of locals ran loose on Saturday, as Australian peace keepers tried to contain the violence and disarm militants. As I already mentioned, when things go off in their part of the world, they really go off. Spears and choppers are all part of problem solving.

Hopefully the government will be able to take control and stability will return.
