East Java has a brand new Hindu temple to be proud of and its a big one. The temple is located in Karangpandan village, Pakisaji district, Malang, in the cool of the mountains.
Hindu’s living in the Malang area had previously to go to one of the other 2 Hindu temples to worship. Outside of Bali there are other Hindu communities in Indonesia, most notably in west Lombok, Sulawesi and Java. In north Lombok one temple is used by both Hindu’s and Muslims.
For those planning to visit Malang, you can fly from Bali on Lion Air, the distance in around 185 miles.
