East Bali road trip part 1
Chris and I got off our asses on Friday morning and rented a Feroza on Jl. Dhyana Pura. The vehicle is a poor man's SUV but its quite rugged and has AC. We paid 100,000rp per day and it was okay as I had no time to wait. Chris has had offers of female accompaniment but we ended up with just the 2 of us. It's easier for me anyhow, to show person around rather than 2.
After a long traffic jam in Kerobokan and along Jl. Gatut Subroto in Denpasar we finally hit the coastal highway and shot out east as far as Candi Dasa. I have never stayed here although I have frequently had lunch here. The place we are staying at is the Pondok Bambu Seaside Bungalows located on the main street. This place has around 20 rooms in a cute little area tighlty packed between the road and the beach. All rooms are new, with AC, hot water, TV, fridge and very clean interior. The price is 300,000rp per night which we split. Our room has 1 double bed and 1 single.
