I have a friend who started his working life as a kid in the rice paddies. He decided that he didn’t want to spend the rest of his life doing that, so he went onto the beach to sell drinks. To cut a long story short, he worked and he saved, naturally changing jobs as he progressed and now he owns a nice house and two taxis. It would be nice to think that this young guy could do the same.
No offence taken, I didn’t even think of it that way. I agree with you that young guy looks as if he knows his way around. I think if you and I were Balinese we’d have to be streetwise too just to survive.
Thanks for helping Nick out. He’s a hard act to follow, isn’t he?

G’Day Nick,
Geez, that guy looks like he’d sell you more than just a drink!.
Ain’t it funny how they don’t sell Arak on the beach!

I just posted and it didn’t appear. I’ll see if this post turns it up!
