Dress code police in Jakarta

Fundamental Islam is creeping into the spotlight again under the guise of an anti-pornography bill. As IndCoup writes, some people have taken it upon themselves to police other people already when it comes to dress code.

Having lived in Southern California, I am familiar with having to deal with nightlclub dress codes. You have a 150kg steroid eating gorrilla on the door, telling you your shirt must have a collar, while the guy next to you is wearing a workout vest, you know the type? But in public, who has the right to tell other people how to dress?

Over the weekend in Jakarta Muslim fundamentals decided they had the right. IndCoup talks about this and the man who tried to wreck Bali tourism.
