Dinner at Rumours with Ray and Angie

Wednesday night Ika, Jevon and I went out to dinner at Rumours in Seminyak. WE were joined by Ray and his new wife Wayan and Angie from Balarat, Australia. Our table was reserved for 7pm, a good time to arrive as the place was only half full. Rumours attracts the expat crowd and tourists who are staying in Seminyak.

While Rumours is still very affordable, prices have risen over the last year, with a sirloin steak going from 25,000rp up to 45,000rp . Still if you want okay food for a relatively low price you can't beat it. During our time there Jevon behaved unbelievably well and got passed around like a footy-ball. At one point I thought ray going to try a hand-pass. Wayan definitely had baby goggles on Ray was quick to pour cold water on that. I told them the other day Ika and I stopped into Santa Fe to give the staff a look at Jevon. One Balinese lady took a liking to him so I said "He's for rent." A couple of minutes later the staff were calling him 'For rent.' If I came back in 2 years time I’m sure he would be answering to For Rent.

Angie is busy with her wedding business and Ray has another 3 weeks in Bali before heading back to the land downunder. I will have to arrange something special before then.
