Denmark’s ambassador to return to Bali today

Denmark’s ambassador will return to Bali today. The Danish embassy in Jakarta came unde attack, or at least serious prostest earlier this month by Muslims angry at the cartoons of Prophet Mohammed. No real damage was done, but after annoymous threats had been made against Danish citizens, the ambassador left.

Here in Indonesia things have been relatively quiet and hopefully Cartoongate has run its course. The Danish Consulate at the Mimpi resort in Jimbaran stayed open throughout the crisis.
