College football final in Kuta Bali

This morning I watched the final of the US college football in Kuta at a place called Double D (more on that later, I have photos but no cable).

Sitting in an internet cafe after the game I feel like I have just given birth. Thegame lasted about 3.5 hours and was a nail-biter all the way. My team, USC lost to Texas 38-41 in the last minute of the game. It was a great game and Texas has a quarterback, Vince young who is phenomenal. This guy is 6′5″ 230lbs and can run like Carl Lewis.

Most people reading this probably don’t give a damn about college football, but I just had the ride of the week watching this game.

I’m with you, Nick.
My husband and I were rooting for USC, and it was an upset lost for USC!

I’m a NE Patriots fan while my husband is Washington Redskins fan for so many years. We watched UCLA Bruins once in Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA. We wish that they would’ve had a bigger seat in stadium. ;-)
We both are happy that both Patriots and Redskins are going to playoffs.
We’re going to our mutual friend’s Superbowl party on 2/5. How does that sound? ;-D

Nick,

I missed the game cuz I am enroute from Nairobi to Capetown…I “saw” little bits of it on the web. It looks like an epic game…I’ll see in on ESPN Classics.

Happy New Year bud.

Sean,

This was a great game. The momentum swung back and forth. I felt Texas getting demoralized the way SC controlled the ball. Then when Vince Young started scoring easily you could see SC visibly panicked.

After halftime SC got back in the driving seat and should of won. They stopped Texas’s final drive….but one of their young guys got caught for facemasking…so stupid!!! Texas got 5 yards and 1st down, game over. I was jumping up and down, thumping the table, cursing, all by myself. I wasn’t mad that Texas won, just that USC had done enough to win, then handed it back.

If he ran like Carl Lewis in Seoul 88 then Vince Young shold be suspended for using steroids. Nick will you be watching the Seahawks on the road to Detroit? Since you lived in Oregon it is most likely the home team

Nick I feel sorry for you for being a Raiders fan. At least liking such a bad teamfrom Bali isn’t so bad then. I lauged when the Raiders started a season with 7 wins and still missed the playoffs.
