Cloudy Monday in Kuta Bali

Temperatures today were slightly lower today due to the cloudy conditions.

I was a bit slow getting going today after watching a ‘B’ movie late at a friend’s house. Its so funny watching the locals watching crappy western movies and getting into it. The movie looked like it was from the mid 80’s and was about giant killer mosquites attacking a small group of people in a farm house ‘Aliens’ style.

One funny thing that happened today was at Bintang supermarket, the main ‘bule’ fill up point in Seminyak. I stopped to replenish my ‘pulsa’ or phone minutes. The phone desk is just outside the front door and today was manned by a man and woman. I noticed she was grinning from ear to ear and the man said “She very happy today.” “Why is that?” I said. “She have new boyfriend.” he said. I asked her in Indonesian what his name was and she said ‘Agus’. I then asked how long they had been together and she said “For one week and 1 time only.” From her expression I guessed that 1 time was last night.

I bumped into the Aussie guys (Palu, Stewart and Dave) from last night on Poppies II. We agreed last night was fun and the next one will be even better.

My best 3 restaurants in Kuta article is up and it links to my interviews and experiences. I think I picked 3 good places.

Internet Outpost in Kuta is busy here at 9pm. Like other places with a good business model they will prosper.
