Chris arrived in Bali at last. I picked him up at the airport last night and was happy he made it. I didn’t have his flight details but made sure I was in position to check everyone coming off the flights. Chris stepped off a Garuda flight from Jakarta at about 11.30pm
The temperatures here have dropped quite a bit since Sean was here in February. Chris and I drove in the taxi to our place in Seminyak and unloaded his stuff. Feeling in high spirits we went down to Jalan Dhyana Pura for a quick one and Saturday night was already in full swing. There was a band playing at Santa Fe and the Bush Telegraph across the street actually had a few customers.
We bumped into our friend Josh Grillo who was dancing the night away with some new friends.
It was cool to have lively place to go to right when Chris arrived and I made the comment that Bali in many ways is the place California pretends to be, where people are relaxed and enjoy themselves.
Miguel had asked if Chris and I wanted tickets to the World Music Frestival but I had to decline as I didn’t know when he was arriving. Miguel had asked me if his lady friend could park her bike outside our house while they went to the concert. I said no worries and we bumped into them upon returning to the house. Miguel said Indonesian singer Inul made a surprise appearance at the Festival. She has been the focus of controversy over here for her suggestive dance and some people have tried to ban her.
Our house has 2 bedrooms, one upstairs one downstairs and Chris took the downstairs one. I warned him about the roosters next door who made a chirp at 3am then went back to sleep.
This morning we went to Ku De Ta for breakfast which is a nice place on the beach.
First place on our agend today is Global Xtreme checking e-mail.

A bit different from the last picture I have of you, Chris, in Portland, at the Acadia, wearing your necklace.
Chris,
You are my mate, and a nerd. Nice photo on the motorbike. Leo and I had a laugh at that one. Glad you made it and have fun.
Yeah, Nick has a knack at catching folks at their worst with that camera. And I prefer the term “geek” over nerd, thank you! ![]()
Thanks Nick, for the morning shot of me in my underwear.
