Blueline: ISP in Kuta Galleria Bali

This afternoon I paid a visit to the office of Blueline in the Kuta Galleria. I have had their service since March and it has been great, very reliable and a much more effective way for me to get my stuff online. I can pull together data, text, photos, links and other things all at once and get them online. Before I was using my memory stick and had to go to internet cafes, hoping they had connection and a USB port available.

Yesterday I couldn't get online and got an error message saying 'Access denied, multiple concurrent user groups'. Checking my credit I was thinking maybe I was below a certain level they required so today I went over. The general manager, Gustav de Kok was there and I asked him how business was. Blueline has been around for over 2 years and Gustave says he gets a new customer everyday.

Regarding my problem I had inadvertently tried to open my account many times before it loaded. Starting my machine didn't help as their system had blocked me. No worries, I now know what to do in future, simply give them a call.

Blueline seems a good company and a good option for someone who wants internet connection at home without a phone line.

hey guys—I think we should do an informal poll of expats or anyone who may have an opinion about Bali ISPs ie which is best. We are coming back to our place in Bali for an extended stay in a few months, and I checked with Blueline before I left. I loved the idea of wireless internet access at up to (supposedly)128 kbps, but am thinking that it could get expensive because you pay by the megabyte, rather than time spent online. I think most long–termers will have in-home access soon, so this might really be valuable. An opinions??
