I know this may not have much to do with Bali but sitting here at Internet Outpost I just read that British motorcycle ace Barry Sheene died. The amazing thing is that after a dare devil life the thing that killed was probably smoking.

The analogy I draw is me surviving Bali’s roads but the Euro’s cigarettes in Cafe Moka getting me.

I have just found out barry sheene has died!A super hero to a generation of motorcycle and non- motorcycle fans alike, because of his style and charismatic larger than life dare devil antics.RIP Barry.
How sad to hear the news about Barry’s death.
A great inspiration when I was young, the first British sports ace who could be professional and humorous at the same time.
A true personality with many admireres worldwide.
We will surely miss him.
Just a really nice guy and an inspiration to an entire generation of bikers. He will be sadly missed.

My wife told me Barry was a Dartford boy, and used to go round Fodge Martins talking bikes. Most of that crowd are in Aus now. Too young.
we all laughed when he over took k robberts and gave him the “v”sign, all in good fun.P S.i named my son after him, mike the bike and now Barry life is short lets make the most of it.
barry sheene was a great person and he will be missed
Barry Sheene did well to make it to 52 with all those high speed crashes.
Definitely one of the biggest names in British sport in the 70’s.
